Becoming a nutritarian in 2006 changed my life. I was vegetarian prior and felt like I was a very healthy eater… little did I know the impact of the greenest of greens! The changes I’ve realized didn’t happen overnight and many haven’t been easy, but I wouldn’t go back to the Standard American Diet even if I could.
I LOVE that the nutritarian idea is hitting the mainstream! As of August 2012, Dr. Joel Fuhrman has put out 2 PBS specials and played a pivitol role in the charming and informative Joe Cross documentary “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” (if you haven’t seen it, you can find it on Netflix and Amazon as well as on Joe’s website www.jointhereboot.com; it is a great combination of personal documentary and clever cartoon animation that speaks to young and old).
I am really passionate about health and I want you to get fired up about it too! So, let’s start by giving you access to info so you can check things out for yourself. Life is about the connections and helping each other plug in. Tops on my list of amazing resources is Dr. Joel Fuhrman. There’s not enough time for me to get into the myriad of ways that this man and his work has impacted my health. I promise to share… so wait for it and check back! In the meantime, check out Dr. Fuhrman’s page for a clear explanation about what it means to be a nutritarian:
